The Wild Robot by Peter Brown

In the book, The Wild Robot, by Peter Brown, it is a story of a robot named Roz who was on her way to a new home when a hurricane came and sank the boat drifting her away until she ended up on a small island.  Some otters were investigating Roz and accidentally turned her on and most of the animals did not greet her very well. Until she saved a goose egg, she raised the little goose named Brightbill very well and even made a home for the both of them. Until winter came around, Brightbill had to migrate and Roz had to stay. Then one day, she was traveling in the cold winter when she saw a frozen animal and decided  to let animals come in for warmth. She even made multiple cabins too! winter ended and spring came around and Brightbill had returned and they told each other what had happened over the winter. What other mysteries will happen? Another book that is a good option after you have read The Wild Robot, is PIE by Sarah Weeks. The book is about a young girl named Alice who loved her aunt Polly. But Aunt Polly wasn’t a regular aunt and she had a gift of making pies. Aunt Polly had died one day, and Alice was so very sad. Until she saw what was on her will. She had given her famous pie crust recipe to her beloved cat Lardo, and her beloved cat Lardo was given to ALICE! Soon after Alice found Lardo missing and found that Aunt Polly’s pie shop was broken into will Alice ever find out who broke into the pie shop and who stole Lardo?
